Good Make Up Brushes?

Anyone know of a source of good quality natural bristle make up brushes but at a reasonable price?

I’ve been asked by the mother – in – law –to - be for ideas for Christmas and thought that this would be a safe bet; I’d need to give her a price and description so she knows what to get.

I love the Chanel brushes but they are totally out of the price range, I don’t what exactly what she would be willing to spend but I know that they would be too expensive.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I used to work at an art supply store and you can actually get amazing natural bristle brushes for much cheaper there. There is literally every shape and style you can think of. Just a thought.

I have The Body Shop brushes which are natural hair, soft and amazing! I highly recommend them

I have them, too! I have used them since a year or so and not lost ONE hair till now!!! They are soft like a caress on your face.

That is a great idea. I use natural hair paint brushes to paint on my eye-liner, they are the absolute best and much cheaper than make-up brushes. I haven't tried other sizes for other make-up tasks, but I'm sure it will work.

You can also get a great deal on brush-kits on ebay. Bought a set from a chinese dealer, ca. 15 brushes in case, real goat hair. They are wonderfull! I don't remember exactly, but I think they cost me somwhere between 20 and 30 dollars, and that's including shipping to Norway! Wonderfull deal. You can also get sable brushes, that's more expensive but still reasonable if you get them in an auction at ebay.

Thanks for the ideas... Forgot about the body shop, I have a brush from there that I bought when I was 15.... Still using 15 years later!!! Will look in there.

Art brushes as well, fantastic.

This is what I do as well. I spent way too much on a Lancome brush one time! lol

I use Sephora brushes. Most have natural bristles and they are inexpensive.

I tend to use the brushes from Everyday Minerals and they are awesome. Very little shedding and remain soft after washing.

I did pick up another set from Marshalls that I love. Even though I had enough brushes, I couldn't resist $5 for a set of 12 brushes and a circular cup to put them in. I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality, very soft and I've had no problems with shedding and they do a great job of putting my makeup on. The only problem is that I can't find a brand on the package, so I can't really rave about them too much.

Mary Kay has a really nice brush set with its own case. I got it from my sister a few years ago and it's great.

I love brushes! I have tons and some standout favorites are Smashbox, Sonia Kashuk and Pout. Actually, Sonia Kashuk's are really excellent for the price. She has a gorgeous gold handled brush set out for the holidays. It looks super opulent. I believe there is a 3 brush set and a 7.

I use my Bare Essentuals brushes for most things. And I actually compared the prices, and some of their brushes were cheaper than the Sephora brushes. However, Sephora has a much larger variety. For liquid foundation, Sephora's foundation brush is like magic to me. I love it.

Most of my brushes are from The Body Shop or Sonia Kashuk at Target. You can also probably find a nice deal on a MAC or Bobbie Brown set on ebay if you have a little time.

FYI: The gold 7pc set SK brushes are 17.99 this week. Trying to this whole no beauty no buy thing since I bought myself some Besame for my birthday. Going to try and make it about 6 months....

This is the perfect time to get brushes-the holidays- most companies sell travel brush sets for a resonable price.
