Superfly.

Dinerman, I'm into the long leather coat. That's a dandy. You might have to post a picture as soon as you get it. You and Fletch (who has a new Leather coat) have the best looking one's that I've seen. Any idea of the date of the Leather coat?

The seller says it's '60s or so. It's also dark green in color, not the black it appears. Has a zipp zipper and a gutos buckle. It was made by "BWS Leder-bekleidung" (BWS leather clothing)

The swiss one came in today. It's very thick, and very heavy.
The only other one I've been able to find online in this pattern said it was WWI, but it doesn't feel that old to me. Any experts out there who could shed some light?

It has a raw edge at the bottom, but finished corners, with buttonholes in the corners, same size as the front button holes. The back buttons up (shown unbuttoned) to above the waist.
10 button double breasted front. The coat does not have the lapels pressed down, it works best up , with the collar down, like I'm wearing it here, not like the auction photos show. The coat has wide cuffs, which are not stitched down, and are fully finished, so the sleeve length is adjustable.

Collar up. Shows swiss buttons, made of metal, not the usual plastic ones.

Here's my overcoat. It's missing its zip-in lining, so my woolen car coat, which I'll try to get a picture of soon, is actually warmer.

I posted this in the Pipes thread, but I thought this coat, though a car coat rather than an overcoat, might be appreciated by some here who might not be pipe smokers (and therefore might not read the other thread).

If the cross-posting is a no-no, my apologies in advance.

As you'll see from the label, this is a Gadabout Pipe 'n' Pouch Coat. What is that?

It's a coat that includes, on the lower left inside of the lining, a zipper pocket of heavy, thick nylon meant to be used as a tobacco and pipe pouch.

I get compliments on the coat all the time, but I get a special kick out of revealing its most unusual feature to those who comment on it.
