Hehehe actually the exact same thing happened to me

About 8 years ago I had hair down to my waist, so I chopped it up to my shoulders. Most of the guys I knew noticed there was something different but couldn't work out what I'd done

I've done all the extremes from waist length to the pixie cut! I loved the pixie, but it grew too fast for me to keep tidy! I'm really tempted to go back to shoulder length, so I can do cute curls!

Actually the only reason I'm not going down to get a haircut tomorrow is because of the costumes I do

I have the perfect Wonder Woman hair right now (which is a costume I'm working on), and I'm also doing a few other long, dark haired characters! The things we do for costuming!!

Johanna and ShortClara, I'm in LOVE with your hairstyles! I'm trying to decide if I want to really short again this spring (for the weather and my 35th birthday), but am uncertain right now (right now I have a long layered bob about 2 inches above my shoulders with eyebrow length bangs).

I have a huge favor to ask; could either one of you lovely ladies possibly post a picture of your new cuts unstyled? It would be really helpful to see the shape and the uncurled length. PM me if you don't want to post it

Could this be why I am not getting a curl..........

I like to get as many no washing days as possible from my hair. The first day I wash and go, the second day I flat iron (once a week), third day pony tail and set in rollers at night. Fourth day the curls from the set.
When I flat iron I use a leave in conditioner on my ends and maybe some spray. Then when I set my hair I use either lotta body or Motions......last night I was set for about 12+ hours and some of my hair was poker straight when I unrolled.........this is how I wore it today...took alot of arranging the waves to look decent.....
too much product? flatiron?

PS - I cannot get curl after I flat iron. I don't know what is it about the process - but I just simply cannot get curl to take afterwards no matter how many things I try. I flipped the process around now though - curls to begin with and flat iron on the second or third day.

I've done all the extremes as well and the pixie is one of my favourites too. More women should dare to go really short! I also love the Louise Brooks pageboy style, I wore it all through my late teens and I am sure I will wear it again someday. Right now my hair is shoulder length, a super versatile length. Easy to curl, easy to pull back in an up-do, on a bad hair day it goes in a pony tail. I recommend it.

This was my Saturday night 'do. I'm not sure why my face looks strange...maybe because I have a strange face! But my hair stayed up through hours of dancing. Yay!
