French Cuffs

Quick question. I purchased a shirt for the QM with French Cuffs for Saturday night. Now, I have cufflinks, but the cuff is very long and has two button holds, one in line with the other. I take it the cuff is folded back so they line up and the cufflink goes through both? I'm 99% sure that's the case but wanted to double check so I wear it properly. Thanks!

I can have pics up tomorrow.

You are right the cuff is folded over...

They are also known as double cuffs.

Silk knots

are great I think! My father wore them through the 40's up to the 60's. Some great colours out there to coordinate with various items... he even had some small alligator-looking square links. I have them but they look pretty brittle so I've never worn them. Vintage cufflinks are usually still a bargain.

Oh, what frustration to dig thru a box of cufflinks at a fleamarket & not find its mate.
I had one cool one. An old school raygun. Very Flash Gordon. But i couldnt find its twin. Bought it anyway.

I have some nice cufflinks, but I'm always worried about losing them. Silkknots are soft & simple.

The string between the knots is stretchy and lets you pull the knots through both sides of the cuff. Personally, I can never seem to get the hang of them and end up throwing away the ones that come with my shirts. I find cufflinks much easier ...
