Art made me a beauty in Whiskey. It is a great color and it really works IMO. I LOVE this hat and any day now I expect to hear from Art his sibling is ready to ship.

My First VS

Introducing my new VS stingy brim porkpie. It is styled after the "Uptown" but since I live in the south suburbs of Chicago, I have dubbed it "The Southtown".This is my first hat from Art but it won't be my last. Everything I have read about his work is dead on and I am very impressed with his attention to detail and overall skill as a hatter. Simply put, this is now the best hat in my collection and I am proud to own and wear it! In fact, I am already saving my pennies for another in Pecan!

Thanks, guys. The felt is incredible! Here is a quick webcam shot from yesterday but I'd like to "pose" in a bit more formal attire. Hopefully I'll have better shots soon. Cheers!

Thanks, Mr. Fusion. I was at my brother's house on Sunday and we were looking through old family photos when I found a picture of my great grandfather and great grandmother from 1964. I never met them (they were deceased before I was born) and I don't recall ever seeing a photo of them until that point. However, I think I found out where I get my penchant for porkpies from.

My Grandfather influenced me as well on hats. I have one of his fedora's (a stingy brim) that I need to get cleaned and reblocked. (Waiting on Art's workload to subside a bit) Anyway, he's the one that got me back into hats.

I asked Art to copy Nick Noltes hat from Mulholland Falls in the 'steel' color. He freestyled the ribbon and I love it
