Scout vs Bickmore products

Hello gents (and ladies),

I'm curious about people's experience with Scout vs Bickmore products. Anyone used both of their dark felt hat cleaners? Opinions as to the better product? It seems to me like Bickmore's water repellent has an advantage over Scout's in that it can be used on straw as well as felt, but I'd like to hear of people's experience here as well. I hear about Scout much more often than Bickmore, so I believe there's something I'm missing.

Thanks all!

Very little, I've just seen it at a local hat shop (Village Hat Shop in Long Beach) and was wondering about it.

Scout for Light Hats

I have Scout stain remover and Scout hat cleaner for light hats and am not really very happy with either of them. I think I read somewhere that the cleaner for light hats is not recommended. Can someone fill me in on why?

Very pleased...

The Scout dark hat cleaner is first rate. I've used multiple cans over time on numbers of hats. The light hat cleaner contains silicates that can leave a residue. Never used it and see no reason to since the dark hat cleaner works fine on any hat. I've done silverbelly hats and my blonde Disney Robin Hood 20 with great results.
