I know a couple of you guys out there have some old cars. Does anyone make a reproduction ration sticker to complete the look?
Thanks fellas,

I'd be interested in knowing that myself. I've searched the internet and eBay in the past, and haven't been able to find any. Every once in a while I see one on a classic at the shows, but they are usually original. I've also seen original bumper stickers regarding FDR and Eisenhower, spelled IKE.

Ok, these would be found on cars of the pre-war type up to 1942 models.

The letter "C" was seen on mostly Government autos which meant unlimited mileage. The "A" was your basic letter that most civilians would have been issued which meant you're mileage allowance would be very, very limited! Can't recall what how many miles each week was allotted but, it wasn't much.

Here are some I found on ebay at one time. I copied the images to print out for my self. You can load them into photo shop and resize them and then print them out to the correct size and slap them into the window. Now, I'll look into see what the exact size is but, it's not much bigger then a business card size.

Hope this helps.

when I first heard about them

One of my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons is the one with the gremlin. It wasn't until I got older that I got the the punchline to end of the cartoon: "You know how it is with these A cards."

Thanks for the memories,

I just ordered 2 today. I'll give some details when they get here.
Maybe I should stick one on my 1987 Trans Am to get into the wartime mood and to remind me that I should ration gas, since theres snow outside, and I work at a golf course, and have no income.
Ah, the joys of being a teenager.
