I went down to Art's place or I should say "Art's Paradise" Monday and stayed over night. We moved a ton (literally) of stuff into his new shop. He still has to get some work benches made but he's getting close to being able to do hat work again. Art has a virtual mountain hide-a-way. It's a gorgeous place with open meadows, ponds, streams, lots of tree's and hills and goes up the front of a Mountain. Here's a few pics of his shop in progess and one looking out from his porch.

For those of you who wondered how Art could pull up stakes from San Francisco and move to Oregon, just take a look at this picture. Art's property I think, correct me if I'm wrong Art, but I believe goes almost but not quite up to the cloud line on the mountain in the background.

Here's another shot of the other side of the room where more flanges are stored. Art has 100s of them and it took hours to sort through them and arrange in order.

That is it! I have to fuel the plane. Art, turn down the guest bed! BTW, did you get my text and email on our death in the family? We're kinda busy with that now.

Hi,

I feel so out of it. Who is Art? Where did he move to in Oregon? If we want to do business with him how do we do it?

I am from Oregon. For those of you in tha area you can always stop by John Helmer's in Portland.

WOW!!!!! Thanks for all the great words Gentlemen ( and you too Lauren, of course).
NOW you see why I made the move guys, it's a real slice of Heaven here and once my shop is complete I'll have pretty much all I want. I have retired from the Masonry business, the promotional business, and the Vintage Clothing business to spend time here with my Honey and my hats. Now, if I can actually earn a few bucks at it life will be great.
I am having technical difficulties with getting my site updated. Something about the servers not talking to each other...but I am and will be able to start working on hats again starting NEXT WEEK ( yipeeee) and I will get the website up & running asap. For now I am woking through email and direct contact. If any of you wish to contact me please either email at
stone@vintagesilhouettes.com
or call at 888-270-3984
Thanks Fedoralover..your help was invaluable!!
