So sad! I have all of her music in my iTunes! Jonathan Schwartz on XM Radio "High Standards" has had some great Jo Stafford stories in the past- special person!

RIP, but he wasn't that funny.....

if you haven't got anything nice to say...

he was a hard working man and achieved more than most of us ever will. how sad for his family to have to go through the death of a loved one, I'm sure we all know that feeling. still a man in his prime, he will be greatly missed by those that knew him personally, and those that would never get the change to meet him, yet he made them smile all the same.

RIP

It is indeed sad when ANYONE passes away. Respect to him for making a successful
career, actually thought he was good in "Charlie's Angels", but for some
reason his comedic style wasn't MY style.
Said it when he was alive. no reason to change my views now.

A loss of a great comic talent, and (at times), a really snappy dresser! Bernie could have died an obscure comic playing small houses, but one big break (A Spike Lee documentary about comedians) turned him into a megastar. What a great career, and what an inspiration to us all to take advantage when opportunity knocks!

that's perfectly fine that his comedic style wasn't your own, and of course you shouldn't have to change your views because he is no longer alive, but it's usually polite when someone passes to make a positive remark about them.

I met him when he had a restaurant in Chicago in the mid 90's. He sang an aucapella rendition of Shaft at five in the morning. :D

Bless his soul.

I am really sad about Bernie. I thought he was just so funny and he made me smile. His TV show was highly underrated I thought, as was "Head of State", the movie he made with Chris Rock. RIP America.

I am with you on this one... I am still shocked that someone who had his kind of money in the year 2008 could die of complications of pneumonia. I know he had some kind of lung disorder...but still....

I loved him in all 3 Ocean's movies. He has a sense of humor I can't quite describe.

Wry, ascerbic....with a dash of curmudgeon.
