Those are great hats, and you did a wonderful job on the Flagship.

I can't recall seeing the vita-felt mark in the style shown on the Eagle/Medalist.

Man! That copper-ribboned Medalist is 'da bomb! Never heard of it before...now it's a "gotta-have". Congratulations on the great stock of cool lids!
I know, it's :eek:fftopic: but what brand of harps do you play? I've fooled with 'em for years and really like the Bushman Delta Frost for playin' the blues...Hoss

WOW, Gene. You're killin' me with that stash of hats. Wish I had the patience to comb the bay like that looking for those.

Picked up a Stetson Dune in acorn. It's one of the hats in the Gun Club collection. Nice hat, right price and I like it. Pics later when I'm not trashed from hunting deer all day. LOL.

Hey Suit'!
I'm not familiar with either of those but you will be proud sportin' them for sure. A few of my favorite vintage hats are little known odd brand names.

Today was a good day. First I scored this steamer chair for a whopping $24. It had somehow gotten separated from a set, and they needed room for Halloween decorations!

And I got to enjoy my new chair wearing my latest acquisition, for which I paid an even more whopping 99 cents!

It's a Stratton, probably an S-42, in green. It started out pretty stiff, but with about 10 minutes of working it by hand, then steaming the brim and crown, it softened up quite a bit. I pinched the crown, and flipped down the front of the brim, and voilà! It's just the beater I was looking for for a cross country trip in which my hat may or may not spend a day or two in a hot car, get crunched in an overhead on a plane, or beat up rolling down trails in New Mexico.
