Folding it is quite simple.
First from corner to corner making it into a triangle.
Then I just fold it in rather broad folds from the top of the triangle.
The silk itself is rather thick, so it holds up beautifully with just a single knot and some "puffing around" to spread it out.. Piece of cake...

I like very much the scarf you wear - mine on display have a bit different setup and are smaller. The formal Cravats/Ascots ones as Smithy described and Slimportly dons so nicely are also available at my source but since I have neither the morning jacket nor the formal occasion where I could wear them - I havent purchased those.
The informal ascots to be worn under the shirts are good even at the workplace- they are way above the elegance of colleagues working in T-shirts or with shirts but sans cravat/necktie. Yes I had the Bel ami Italiansk, Film actor etc. comments but being a consistent guy I got accepted in them and they became my trademark.
I think this nothingness of silk gives some more formal look but does not strangle my head from the oxygen supply like the knots on the formal ties.
If worn with dark grey, deep blue or black suit and a formal shirt they can be even elegant.
Naturally not in a banking environment or on politicians at a summit - none of the roles people would like to play nowadays...
I think in this postmodern age day cravats/ascots do work well.
