Maltese Falcon Tie

He wears a maroon tie when he confronts Wilmer in the hotel lobby.

Aha! I was wondering if the book specified what color the tie was, but I didn't have a copy handy. Bogart's Spade is wearing the patterned tie in the scene with Wilmer in the lobby, so now we've at least got a lock on the correct color.

Indy, I'll hold off making another in maroon (which is just a dark red with a little blue, anyway) unless you give it the green light.

I would like the movie tie to be blue but I have my doubts.
Navy blue is such a classic ground for that pattern that this is probably an exception.
Maroon... now, there's a thing.

I'm with TankyBell on this one. Maroon is most likely, blue would be swell though. I smell variations coming...

Since we've got a poll running, putting up another variation is a bit moot / disruptive. If Indy gives it the go ahead, I've got it primed and waiting. (it's his show, after all, I'm just helping out)

A maroon of that shade, maybe just a tiny bit darker, more to a burgundy, would be great. Maroon or burgundy is versatile - works equally well with brown tones as blue, gray or black.

Since there is interest in this tie but there seems to be a problem with folks voting in a poll but not buying, may I make a suggestion? Consider packaging three ties:

that retail for $40.00 each and selling the package at a discounted price for all three. (Perhaps $105.00 + shipping.)
This might be an attractive offer for the holiday season.
