What Famous Person is the Posterboy/Girl?

We have talked about a lot people that were style setters.....but all of them are pushing up daisies.

Which current and living famous people do you think exude classic style? I am not asking who looks like they are from the golden era.....but who do you see as the people that are keeping the faith of classic style?

Here is some food for thought:
Ralph Lauren is leading the charge
George Clooney often looks classy when photographed. He was the cover for the premiere issue of Men's Vogue.
As much as I don't care for his politics.....and much of his acting....Alec Baldwin always looks good.
Harrison Ford until recently has had classic style.
I am hard pressed to name ladies...because most actresses look classy in one movie then they go and be thrashy the next....and not just on screen.
Laura Bush. Now she may not be a looker, but she is a class act.

Who do say?

Great post and a challenging thought.

Prince Charles comes to mind. He may be compelled to, being a member of the royal family, but he is a bastion of solid British style. The Princes seem to be following ably in his footsteps.

Roger Moore, and not in those 1970's Bond films, but when you see the man out and about, he is always stylish in an ascot and blue blazer.

Massachusetts' own Mitt Romney is always classically attired: blue blazers, sack suits, good solid ties. If anything, he errs by straying into Brooks Brothers catalogue-wear a bit too much; as if he is emulating the photos! But, he is a crisp white dress shirt in a state of neutrals and grays.

Dare I say, Sean John? Take away the bling and the obsequious fellow with the umbrella and there is a very well-dressed young man with a clothing line promoting a classic look to boot. His casual clothes may be for a different demographic, but his suit and dress shirt collection is a ressurrection of classic American style.

Pierce Brosnon always looks good, even in shortsleeves. He favors slimming tailored suits and jackets and looks great in them. Sadly, too often, photographers put him in T-shirts and jeans to play against his more formal image as, the former, James Bond, but when dressed no one can top him for effortless elegance.

I must agree with George Clooney. He dresses stylishly and has just a little bit of rakishness. The pic on the front of Men's Vogue says it all.

I've never liked the look of Ralph Lauren's clothing. There's something disproportional about all the photos i've seen. I think it's in the shoulders (too wide).

Nicole Kidman has a classic style, as well as Julianne Moore.
Whenever Deion Sanders is on ESPN or commentating a game, I always check to see what he's wearing - the man has great style.
Completely agree with the George Clooney posting - true classic.

One of the reasons Brosnan was chosen for Bond back in the 80's (though because his contracts prevented him) was because he was also seen as a men's fashion icon... he still is.

I'd like to see him in more period pieces.

He's been styling for decades... though he is styled a bit 80's.

This is going to be frowned upon by some though I think she is cool.

I agree with

Pierce Brosnan. That's the first name that came to mind. I also like George Clooney's style as well as Alec Baldwin's (but not much else about him). It's funny how there were once dozens of people in the entertainment industry you could put on this list - now there are just a handful. Most of the guys I see in that field these days look like they are in desperate need of a shower, a haircut and a shave. And their clothing choices ... usually ... yuck!

David Niven was a true gentleman.

...and what a gentleman he was that evening at the 1974 Academy Awards when the streaker ran across the stage...

Turning to the audience he said, "The only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping and showing off his shortcomings"

I'll jump on the George Clooney bandwagon, too... I always thought he was the perfect mixture of Cary Grant & Clark Gable.
