Night before last, I enjoyed a HdM Excaliber Legend. I am becoming very fond of these. Last night it was a Rocky Patel Sungrown; another great cigar!

This is a full bodied cigar with a unique composition and blend. It has an enjoyable flavor and exquisite aroma with an excellent burn. Blue Label is presented in a beautifully handcrafted cedar box of 25 cigars.

Yeah Indy, I also like them. My 5 Vegas Series A sticks arrived yesterday so that was my choice last night. Good value for a moderately priced cigar. I'm happy with them. Thanks for your testimonial about them Indy. Smoked it in your honor! ;)

I like anything blended by Don Pepin. His blends suit my strength and flavor preferences to a "T".:) :)

Last night I had a new one I had not seen before around here; an Arganese CI. Not bad, very spicy in the last inch or so. Wouldn't buy a box but its nice for a change.

Stopped by Iwan Ries & Co. on Wabash Avenue for Frog Morton
this afternoon and given a Syrian Latakia blend mixture to sample.
IR's pipe collection is quite impressive; found a Ganeval Bondier & Donniger
voyager that bowled me over. :)

Nice to see the pipe smoker's posts. We seem to be heavily outnumbered by the cigar guys. I wonder how many folks, passing on the street, would know what Syrian Latakia is?lol

The aroma and taste of latakia in a nice virginia-based blend transports me into a rarified realm of campfires, olden times, rifle smoke, the drip of a canoe paddle on a dawn-blushed wilderness lake, the wind in sub-alpine black spruce, baby's breath, the smell of a beautiful woman's new-washed-rain-dampened hair.

I like it so much, I'm surprised it ain't illegal.lol

One of my favorites.
Had a CAO Brasilia last night myself. I was surprised by
its spicy start and strong flavor. IC, you still find the
Italia too strong? That Brasilia is somethng!

Smoked in my cactus-secured back yard rather than
my customary front steps, due to the fact that a guy
was mugged, shot and killed a couple of blocks from here
and no one is yet in custody. Gotta love Oakland- no fire
chief, police chief leaving in disgrace, and a mayor who
works part time.

The Super Bowl Game pipe was a Pohlmann Bent Egg with Reiners blend #71. Reiners #71 is an excellent Virginia: golden Virginia tobacco with a little "white" Burley and a touch of Perique, long slices, rubbed out. :) John

If you don't exercise your 2nd amendment rights I hope you are keeping a good eye out!!

To me the brasilia is excellent but the Italia hits me right in the gut although my wife likes them both just fine.
