My racket is Medical Staff Credentialing. I work at a hospital investigating physicians and saving the patients from potential Dr. Evils.

I'm a crimefighter. Always have been. I used to be a police officer. Now I'm an assistant district attorney. It's not much of a racket and the pay is lousy, but the bright side is there'll always be a demand for what I do.

Lots of different things...

I had the usual complement of odd jobs before I became the struggleing tailor that I am today. And how that happened is a long and boring story. But these days I am a part time tailor, full time parent, with a one man shop and a 6 month old son, who keeps me busy most of the time. lol

This was a very entertaining and enlightening thread to read.

BA in English Literature w/a minor in Russian Literature, Language and Culture come this May from Berkeley. I can't wait to get out of here.

My work experience is mostly in editing and the long time tradition of cashiering, but my near future trade is most like copy-editing, editing, writing, copy-writing, copy-editing-writing, copy-editing-copy-writing-copy and all somesuch branches thereof. Can someone hook me up in LA??????

Either that or... I was thinking of applying to work at the UCLA film archives. I wonder if The Film Noir Foundation's hiring.

Oh, and if you haven't assumed already (what are you stupid?), I have aspirations to be a writer. Detective fiction.

The forms are a nightmare and 99% if all practitioners are golden, but what I have dug up about a few has made my hair stand on end!

I'm an airline ground school instructor for a low-cost carrier. I teach Airbus systems, FAA and company regs, and new hire first officer classes for pilots. My previous jobs were:

an avionics tech at the same airline

Motorola field service technician

government contract electronics instructor

avionics technician in the US Navy

I really did shine shoes during my teen age years...and still quite good at it...

I have been in the automobile business since '79 and selling
Chrysler products since '81. Was at a dealer for 16 years in St. Louis until I moved back to my hometown where I have been here for 9 years.

For titles: Internet Manager, Marketing Manager, New Car Inventory Manager, Used Car Inventory, Part-time Finance Manager, Sales Trainer of a medium size dealership. It keeps me busy.

I wannabe a comedian on the Grand Ol Opry....they are missing Minnie Pearl and others too much.....hence the name The Shoeshine Boy...

I went to engineering school and worked for a time at Douglas Aircraft, but never graduated. I did tax preparation for H&R Block for 11 years, and now I'm in customer service at a small TV shopping netork, and fill in in the control room a couple of days a week working the Chyron and the camera switcher.

It's a living and I have fun doing it, but I'll probably have to move on to something more lucrative in the future, since I'll be 65 in only 20 years, and time seems to fly by faster and faster with each passing year.
