Id personally go with the Colchesters, I'm wearing them right now! I live down the street from MyBabyJo, and I help out there. Colchesters are by far the best sneaker out there. Converse are flat and hurt peoples feet, Colchesters have arch support, and are a cool design. You'll have people guessing what they are every so often.

I was thinking about ordering a pair of Colchesters in black. Is the canvas of high quality? If I do get the black, I might have to swap the laces for white to offset the color and give it a more retro look.

I bought a pair two years ago. Green ringsides. They lasted a year before the sole wore through. They seem to have gotten rid of a lot of repro models and replaced them with more trendy offerings, while raising the prices on everything.

I'm not really that familiar with the PFLs (always wore Chuck's) but I really like the look of the 1953 Center lows in navy. Any place to get these on line, 'cause I know none of the few local places from their retailer list, would have these.

Ive been getting the PFFlyer high tops for a few years now.
Not bad at all.
Theres an OD pair that Ive worn with coveralls to the Reading WWII Airshow.
The `40s model with the clamshell toe & lugged sole come in handy for softball.

I'm currently a Converse 'Jack Purcell' wearer. I bought several pair in my size before they became so scarce.

Recently I bought the French Spring Court Trainers that are making a wide come-back. These are the 'Abbey Road' plimsols that John Lennon wore on the famous LP cover. You don't see those everyday!

I love PF Flyers - I'll be tracking a few pairs down when i have the money. I was really excited when they revived the brand a few years back, as I'd had to stop wearing Converse. Still love the Cons stylistically, but now they're owned by Nike..... no thanks. New Balance, the current owners of PF Flyer, have an excellent ethical reputation, I gather, which is cool. :)
