Your favorite Scotch? Your Favorite liquor in general?

I ordered three bottles from some website that escapes me now, but one of the bottles broke in transit so UPS returned the package to the sender. They e-mailed and asked me if I wanted them to resend the other two and I told them not to. I could kick myself now, knowing that it's gone.

Oh no!:eusa_doh: :eusa_doh:
I'll have to check the web for stragglers. :D

Real Prohibition Whiskey

Well, I am generally not much of a whiskey drinker, but some years ago I did recover a drinkable bottle of whiskey from the bottom of the Detroit River. A check with the historian at Canadian Club identified it as a 1921 bottle of Gooderham and Wortz Whiskey. My brother and I have a shot every Christmas and I can tell you....it's sssssmmmmmooooooootttttthhhhh!

Another favorite is Cointreau...

Hi folks, I'm brand new and glad to be here. I hope you don't mind me joining in.:)

Some of you sure have great taste when it comes to whisky and/or whiskey,....too bad we can't all join each other in a little tasting session!
A few years ago while playing in a Pipes & Drums band, a friend turned me onto what immediately became my favorite Scotch; Aberlour a'bunadh. It's an exceptional single Speyside malt.
Over that period of several years in a Scottish band I tried many a good whisky,....but none that were better than this.

You people in MA are lucky. Four seasons has 5 bottles left of Cigar Malt. They can't ship them out here to me in CA so I am out of luck. :eusa_doh: :eusa_doh:

Can they ship them to IL? I'd be willing to work out some kind of deal with you.

Uh, I didn't think of that but I have no idea where they ship to---just not me. :eusa_doh: Those states have strange interstate liquor laws. [huh]
I checked and they say:
"Please note that some states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states. We cannot ship alcoholic beverages outside of Massachusetts." :eusa_doh:

Bummer. Thought it was worth a try.

I haven't searched the thread yet, but does anyone else enjoy grappa? A liquor made by fermenting the grape skins, seeds and other dregs left behind after wine making.

A good quality grappa, served ice cold, is wonderful, the, um, distilling origins notwithstanding!
