Today I got my first pair of Bill?Ǭ¥s Khakis after having read so much about them here. I got them at ebay for under 30 bucks. They are the british twill version M2P, less fuller cut with pleats. I can only compare them to the K-1?Ǭ¥s I have and also the LVC chinos from 5 years ago. I probably made a mistake going for the M2P model coz they are pretty narrow, I knew they would be not as baggy as the M1 model but the 1 inch less does make a difference. They look to me more like a late 50?Ǭ¥s chino pant. They are well made but I can?Ǭ¥t really see what the fuss is about. There is nothing that incredible about them.Maybe they just wear well with age. I can the K-1?Ǭ¥s wearing very quickly. The K-?Ǭ¥s look to me more of a vintage style as do the LVC chinos ( these are especially great in detail). Still, since I am a short bloke, my wife always goes on about how my pants look to baggy and wide on me, so I will keep them to make her happy
every now and then. Also just saw the new LVC range and they have a great 50?Ǭ¥s casual pant, the leg does not seem to taper at all so I will wait till they turn up on ebay one day.....

I bought a pair of the M1 8.5 oz, basically the big and baggies, WWII spec pants and they cost me $100, but at least they came hemmed! Finding them for $30 is a great find. Well done. They are very nice pants... Hmmm, that could be a company's slogan...:)

They wear extremely well. I think you'll like them more and more as you wear them--at least the fabric. Not much you can do about the slimmer cut.

A pluperfect b**ch to iron though.

Yeah, no fun to iron. That's one reason I got the M-2, non-pleated. I use them mainly for weekend wear, so I don't even attempt to iron them. I find that if I hand-smooth them and hang them up right after getting them out of the drier, they look fine (at least for very casual wear). No hard creases, but that's okay for what I use them for. By far the most comfortable pants I have ever worn.
