Suit shopping in Baltimore

I am finally in the market for a suit and could use some recommendations on places to shop (or stay clear of) in the greater Baltimore area. In addition to the usual objective of acquiring something well-made at a reasonable price, I need something that will not overwhelm my 5'7", 120 lbs. form.

This is my first foray into suit-buying, and any assistance would be most appreciated.

I have always had good luck at Men's Wearhouse for what that's worth.

I have no idea what's available in Baltimore, but you sound like a 34-36S. Basically, that means you're going to want the smallest sizes available anywhere you go. That's about what I wear as well. Don't be talked into something too large in the shoulders or billowing out in the chest. Waist and sleeves can always be altered, but make sure it isn't too large in the shoulders/chest.

If there's an H&M in Baltimore, you might try that. Their stuff is very slim and at a decent price, but also very modern if you don't mind that. If you go to a Men's Warehouse, try to get something on sale, rather than anything at full retail.

Why NOT Jos. A Bank in the town where the company started??? Solid Citizen

As someone about the same size, you'll be swimming in the vast majority of Jos A Bank suits. Some of their separates might fit you, though.
