“Am-Jack”?

I enjoy perusing the “Ask Andy” forums archives, though I’m afraid I’m not gutsy enough to become a poster. I am curious about the term “Am-Jack” that I see used in many posts (especially by those discussing “Trad” fashion). I think (from context) that it refers to your average, modern male fashion that follows whatever trend is selling in the department stores this season and probably means “American Jackass” but I’m not certain. I know some loungers are also Ask Andyites, so I thought I’d enquire here.

Google was no help, it just brought up tons and tons of “Fight Club” references.
