Haha, you don't know the half of it. I'm expecting a baby in a couple weeks.
Congratulations on the baby!
Thank you very much for going above and beyond the call of duty to put this information out there.

I read through a good portion of the hat section last night. I love it. This woman is as blunt as can be. lol lol lol
"Have you ever noticed the kind of hat the man who is under the average height usually goes for? I don't mean the short fat man but the one with average weight and figure, who hovers around the five-foot-five mark. Why will he so often put on a heavy homburg with a crushed in crown and a four inch brim? I always feel like saying to him "Come out from under there. I see you." "
lol lol lol lol lol

If it's okay with Vintage Betty, I can email the files to people.

As long as you keep my notes posted in each section of the PDF, I'm fine with it. But it's going to be a large file, even if zipped.....good luck with that.

There is always the CD option----$10 plus shipping if I remember correctly. :D

It is a great read. Those who say that the women of the 1930s were demure and abused by men need to read this book. She is blunt and straight forward and managed to make me laugh quite a bit when referring to haplessly sartorially challenged men as "poor dears" etc. The colar button passage is priceless.

Thanks for the plug. Basically, I estimate this project took 10 hours of my time. I'm fine with giving it away, but I shrunk the resolution to approximately 45% on the free copy and stuck in a PDF note stating that if you want the full version, you can send me $10 + shipping for a CD. I might mention that you should be able to increase your free version to 200% or more to compensate so you can read it.

I just figured if someone wanted a copy without the notes and a full clean version, it would be great to get a little moolah to help the kiddo on the way. :D I am not expecting to make any money off of this project.

And yes, this woman's wit is something to laugh about. She certainly isn't shy!

Nope. Not shy at all. lol lol lol
$10 is a bargain for this funny and useful book. I inadvertently gave a copy to one of my "fat" friends before I read it through. I am going to love his reaction to some blunt sections. lol lol lol lol

I was actually planning on just uploading it to my webserver in much the same way as you did (with the note also placed before the download links, as you did).

As for the PDF files themselves, I wouldn't think of touching them.

Also, how much would it cost for shipping to Europe? Either Sweden or the UK, but I'd assume it's the same to either.

Ah, you beat me to it..

After all this waiting I finally my local library managed to get
me a copy, all the way from Germany (hooray for danish libraries).

My plan was to scan and distribute as well for free. It seems that
I won't have to bother. Well hit me up good sir with a electronic version!

I'd be glad to join the previous gentlemen on the list of interested persons.

[edit] Drat, didn't notice the second page at all before replying.

If anyone would be willing to PM a link or e-mail the thing to m000-ät-zom#gwtf.net (replace with @ and remove # where appropriate) it would be really appriciated!

PMs sent to the three new requests. The files will be up (and more people can have the link) until the end of September, at which point they're going down. Again, thanks to Vintage Betty for the hard work done!

My sincere thanks to both Vintage Betty and Lokar for enabling us to view this interesting book. I'd say you both have a sizable balance in the "Karma" bank.
