Vintage Borsalino 7 1/8 velour finish

A glorious velour finish Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe. It is marked size 5 PUNTI, which equates to a 57cm, 7 1/8 US, 7 UK. Edward tried this on the other week, and it fits his size 7 1/8 head, and it's a bit big on my size 7 LO head so it seems to fit pretty true to size.

The only flaw is an annoying moth bite (see last image). I'll measure the bite when i get in from work in the morning.

As always, the Brosson box is not included. I'm looking to get £25 for the hat. The price is so low because of the moth bite. I'd rather not use Paypal. I can accept cash or personal cheques in US$, GB£ or €. PM with interest.

They're 1950 pattern British army "Trousers, Khaki Drill" cotton trousers. There're usually a few pairs for sale on British eBay; they don't tend to come in sizes bigger that 33 waist. Depending on your waist size (i.e. if it's small) i might probably have a pair that i could sell. I certainly have too many of the short version of these trousers.

Re: the hat. The moth bite is near the edge of the brim, slightly to the rear of the bow. Shipping price to US to come. I have one PM enquiry on this hat. Please PM me if you're interested and you'll get in the queue behind the first guy.

If the Baron will forgive me, and if your waist size is larger than he can supply, Silverman's in Mile End sell a reproduction of the 'Trousers, Airman KD 1950 Pattern' (i.e. no map or FFD pocket) in most large sizes. They are a reasonable reproduction apart from the (all important) buttons and buckles. Go for originals from the Baron if he has them to fit you.

Found trousers online at Silvermans for 30 pounds (most reasonable)
and shipping to California is 50 pounds! Yikes!
Thanx for the help, anyway

I have it boxed up so i could get the weight, and at 625 grams it comes to £8.12 for airmail shipping to the US, according to the online calculator. There is the cheaper option of surface mail at £4.28, but that takes upwards of 2 months to arrive :)eusa_doh: ), where air is 5 days or so.

Silvermans also do the very rare 'P-Company trouser' which is the green equivalent of the 1950 pattern army trousers, Unfortunately only in 34 and 36 inch sizes. Huge!

The shipping quote for the KDs is ridiculous! They also do a repro of the 1950 pattern shorts, again reasonably accurate apart from the buttons and buckle.

Have you asked the Baron if he has a pair of KDs in your size?
