Ive tried those on :) I wear about a 9/10, but would go with a 9 as the leather will stretch.
The people who are the most helpful with the shoes are the ones you see selling them at vintage events. They are always nice.

Complete enabler! I've been waiting for these to go on sale for ages. It's been so long I stopped checking :) Thanks for the heads up, a pair of pewter are on their way to me!

texasgirl is right though - with so many retro-styled shoes available now, at least we have options!

I wish I could inherit a shoe factory and start making vegan retro shoes! Generally a shoe not made with leather or suede means you can't always expect the quality to be high. :(

I am having terrible shoe luck lately - the Kate's came and are lovely but just a tad bit too long for me.

For sale to some lucky Cinderella - ladies size 11 - see Classifieds.

In case there's no lucky lady and they stay with you, maybe check with a cobbler about an insert that will keep the ball of your foot from sliding forward? Completely invisible in the peep toe, too.

Thank you for your suggestion, Lily Powers ;) It's actually in the toe they are a little long so my toes don't get to "peep."

Amazon will take them back but I wanted to give someone a chance for such a good price.

Remix Kate in yellow

OK, I waited just a bit too long and missed out on the Kates in yellow in my size (7.5) on Amazon. Sigh. If anyone has a pair they would like to part with in 7.5 or 8, let me know.

Has anyone got these - style called ritz? I got plenty of questions about them:
- how comfy are they? can you dance in them? i'm thinking tango, perhaps balboa (heel is quite high)
- how does the silver matte version look like - no pic on site
- is quality worth the price? (and for that matter do they ever go into sale?)
- how do they fit? are they true to size?

i think they look just perfect, i wish the price would be more appealing...$200 without shipping...is a lot for me hm

I'm admiring them too, just when I thought I had plenty of shoes...

Great pics! Thanks!

Re-Mix did a smart thing. They began in 1992 as a store that sold vintage deadstock shoes --from the 1920s to the '60s-- for women and men. No repros in sight. (I used to shop there. Incredible stuff!) By the later '90s, there weren't enough deadstock sources left to make the business cost effective. Hence, Re-Mix began to reproduce vintage styles. Their first batches of repro shoes were made in Mexico; I don't know who makes them now.

Re-Mix
saved itself by adapting well to changing circumstances. Good for them! :eusa_clap

Wow... shopping deadstock shoes from the 1920's - 1940's would be like a dream for me. Or a nightmare, if I were to consider the cost to my checking account!

I believe many of their 1940's wedges are still made in Mexico. It's my understanding that Re-mix does not want to manufacture in China and chooses to use Spain and Portugal for manufacturing.

Thanks to those great sales on Amazon, last year I bought 4 pairs of Re-mix and spent barely what I would have on one pair! I have the sand/brown version of the ones you're getting, Inky. They are incredibly comfortable on my foot. Congratulation in advance to the new addition to your shoe family. :)
