Is it really that cold in FL these days?:D

43 the last two mornings in Fort Lauderdale, supposed to be 30s tomorrow.

Supposed to have light snow in Orlando also.

I'm lovin' wearing a hat this week and getting a lot of envious stares from a lot of bare headed men. :)

As for the stingy brim part...you wouldn't want to let Mr. P. catch you in this!

State Penal Codes have exemptions for police in times of emergency response and frigid conditions. IC is in such a state and is therefore, completely within the law governing the wearing of brims under 2 inches. :D

And by the way, my Department issues those "beenies" for uniform wear too. I prefer my uniform cover but my whole shift wears the watch caps when its cold.

I was a year with the city police here and those are issued with the emblem on the front.
Peaked brim and starched uni make a great statement, also are nice for burial after freezing to death.
I would far rather look funny than be truly cold as it can get here and many other places.

I would remove the snap either in the front or back; otherwise, you're going to get those stupid "Where's your bullwhip?" comments.

When I was a Police Cadet(Explorer) I was always in my Service Cap and Class A's on Street Patrol every time. This is how a street patrol officer should dress 24-7 on the street, Plus the Brass love it. My nickname was Adam 12.

Cool! By the way, would you be allowed to wear vintage uniform parts when on duty?

Nice hats the last few days as usual. It doesn't usually get cold enough for me to wear a jacket so I had a tough choice of what to pare it with today

I went with the Temple. I prefer to wear my old Resistol with a brown leather coat. I need an OR Silverbelly!

Everybody's looking good in their frosty weather lids. (Except for Mr. Tutt who is in a blessedly opposite hemisphere but looking good all the same.)

Here I am in my second favorite Borsalino - thick felt with a Cav-style edge - and a 40's vintage blended muskrat coat.

You can't go wrong with either choice; both look sharp with the jacket. I was a western-only wearer too, until I came here....
