:eek:fftopic: Well, in this case i really didn't know where to post this.
I know is about men stuff and is kind of making a deal but as this is called the pattern swap... i am trying here.
i am looking for a men's slacks and a jacket Hollywood or even Ricky style.
I don't mind the sizing as i can upgrade or degrade it.
My guy's birthday is coming and i will loooooove to make him a nice jacket
The slacks, i have been wanting to have a pattern of them for long time.

I will be up to even paying for the grafting, doesn't need to be the original pattern in its envelope but a good copy, and of course as the most of you live in the states i will pay you the postage & shipping.

Please do feel free to PM to discuss about the deals.

Thanks to you all

Men's slacks

I'm sorry Lorena B. I was sure I had some men's slacks patterns. I either gave them away and forgot or they fell into my pattern black hole. If you need men's shirt patterns, I have oodles of those.

Pencil skirt - W 28 Hips 38

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone have a 1950s pencil skirt pattern (the sexy wiggle kind) that I may borrow? My potential new sewing teacher says this would be an easy pattern to start. I have a 29" waist and a 39" hip. I have searched online and cannot find a pattern to buy in my size.

Please let me know either in the thread of via PM.
Thanks!

Hi SweetieStarr:

I have Simplicity #5627, five skirt patterns, one of which is pencil. W=28, hips = 38. Your teacher should be able to help you adjust the pattern for the inch (?). I assume, because I am brand new to sewing, but from what I've read...it can be done fairly easily.

Oh, sorry no pic: my camera is dead and my cell doesn't have flash.

Thank you, MsStabby. I actually found a pattern and am working on that for the moment. However, I will let you know if I need this one. Thank you!

I had a few successful trys at it (you included) but some of my patterns I never got back. :( No big loss, but I also know some ladies didnt even send theirs out.

Im a protagonist, so if I say Im gonna do it, Im gonna do it. But I guess some ladies had that real life stuff to get through. *ppst* real life, whatever!

Wow, we loved this thread for so long and then I guess everyone pooped out on it at the same time!
I intended to send that pattern I promised you Lady Day. I was angry at myself and embarrassed to admit that I stuck one of the crucial pieces in a random pattern envelope and don't know which one it is :( This wouldn't be such an issue except that I have hundreds of patterns. I keep hoping it will turn up.

Some swap sites (like Makeup Alley) have a token system. Then the person with the least amount of tokens sends theirs out first.
I was also thinking I should post pictures for the local ladies and we could swap in person. Maybe get an "order" of how many copies of each pattern, and then swap the copies. Maybe I'll organize an Oakland, CA one in January? Too busy right now.

Coveralls?

I don't know if this is vintage or off-topic, but...

Does anyone have a pattern for coveralls? I am talking about the full body suits kind like mechanics wear. They would actually be for me, so I wouldn't need a big men's pattern.

Those are cute - I suppose I could just make the pants part longer. I was originally thinking mechanic type overalls like http://www.superstock.com/stock-photos-images/1525R-12726 or http://www.armynavydeals.com/asp/products_details.asp?SKU=WWCS112A&ST=2&W%20%20Striped%20Mechanics%20Coverall%20

These would be for car related events and projects, not for wearing out in public on a daily basis. I hadn't really found any color combos I liked, so that is why I thought about making some. I like the idea of making them a bit more feminine also.

I like the more feminine ones, because, well, theyre just more flattering. There's a reason most men look sexy in one and most women don't!

Exactly! I would really like to have some more feminine ones that are shapely and have more feminine colors and details. I have looked online, but haven't really been able to find any, so again, thought making some could be an option and posted here.

I'm not sure that pattern you posted would work, as it seems more like an outfit, unless I made it a larger size to fit over clothes.
