I live in Victoria BC, home of the Viberg boot company. I bought a pair of Bobcats from Viberg over ten years ago. I have a full size difference in my two feet and wanted to get something that would actually fit both my feet. I have been very happy with the boots and I am planning to get another pair soon. I will say as someone who wore runners it took sometime to break the boots in but it was well worth it. I would highly recomend their products.

Glad to be of help. Viberg have started making more "fashionable" boots for the Asian market but I noticed they also seem to sell then in some English stores. The range of boots has increased as well as the options. I am thinking of getting a 6" semi-dress or service boot in a merlot coloured leather. I should mention that their boots are not light! Much heavier than say Doc Martens.

Viberg Foreman Work Boot
My Viberg Foreman work boots finally arrived, about a month after my
"10 - 14 days" wait began for the "in-stock" size. The second time I
raised concern in email, they were very apologetic and asked if they
could throw in a t-shirt, shoe grease, or an extra pair of laces. I opted
for the t-shirt (but wish I had said shoe grease because I have a lot of shirts).
I can post the whole interaction, if anyone is OCD about
customer service.
But enough of that. On to the boots. Here's a detail shot, after one night
of wear, to a notorious San Francisco bar:
They came with black fabric laces and these leather ones. I chose to
put in the tongue protectors, also included. These are nice, heavy boots.
Very comparable to my ~15 year old Red Wing work boots. Only concern
easily visible here is slightly off stitching, but it's fine by me.
I don't really care that they stamped the logo on the boots- after all, WESCO and
Whilte's do the same, but that wasn't shown in the web site picture.
Edit: deleted comments about nothing below the uppers being leather.
The mid-sole is a nice, thick leather.
No complaints about the construction here:
When you pull out the inserts, this is what you see inside:
My boots are 10 EEEE. I usually wear a 3E, but that does depend. These
are roomy, but not too roomy for me. The 10 is a touch longer than some
but basically true to size in my experience.
Overall, a great boot, but not my ultimate boot. I am very happy to have
a heavy 6" boot. You may think it odd, but I hope to wear them with
shorts in the summer.
Now on to pairs of Wesco and White's. Accepting donations.
Further edit: I am coming to like these boots very much, after only a few days.
Can't wait till they are totally broken in. Needless to say, they are the ultimate
rain boots, too.

Best of luck, but I'd suggest just paying full price, and getting your order in immediately. The trouble of getting 10+ together is probably not worth the 10% discount.

Viberg is great. In terms of craftsmanship, I think they are better than White's but White's has that custom rugged look.

I would like a new pair of Hikers and/or Engineers, but Viberg's pricing on anything other than stock boots is too high IMO.
Viberg is doing exceptionally well at the moment so they are in a position to charge a premium. Last time I priced a pair of Engineers in Icy Mocha CXL, they priced out at $679 USD....plus I'll have to pay an exchange fee. (Not to mention I would require custom fit fees).
Over $700 for a pair of boots....ouch! Viberg's are really nice though.

Hi,
Regarding your queries I have been a Viberg customer since 1975 and have 5 different types of their boots at present.
My hikers, work, engineers and cowboy all date from 1989 and are still going strong.
All resoled 3 or 4 times each and I must say Vibram is the way to go.
If possible get them lined with deer skin as the comfort is sublime.
Water buffalo is oh so durable as is their other hides.
Heavy, heck yes and good exercise.Try removable insoles of deer if available.
Make sure you have a proper boot person who can resole them and you are good to go.
Next time I am going Ironworker boot just for the motorcycle
I will say if you can get a better boot at the price go for it.
Also phone or email them as they are most accommodating.
Hope this helps out anyone with reservations.
