Love the blouse Kamikat.
BoPeep, that skirt is amazing, I have never seen that pattern before.

I still need to finsh the belt and add the buttons. I have a really cute belt and buckle set from the 40's. I still need to hem it also. It fits me really well and was pretty easy to resize. I had trouble with the button holes. My new stratagey for button holes is to cross my fingers and pray. It that doesn't work then my strategy will be to not make anything with button holes.

Deadpandiva, is that the same Eva Dress pattern that Cici used? Very cute and a totally different look in the different fabrics.

This was my strategy, or when necessary faking them... (aka on baby clothes using zelcro and sewing the button on top...) but I just bought a new sewing machine that well basically does it for me... so we will see..

Beautiful blouse, deadpandiva! Is it a reproduction print? I'm starting to wear more ruffles and fru-fru. I think it's a reaction to my black pencil skirts and t-shirt days. Just something about big puffed sleeves that make you feel like a little girl again. lol

The pattern worked up easily, good directions, precise fit. It has 8 pleats across the center front, two on each side front, and four deep ones across the back. I used a heavier cotton in stripe to show off the bias cut back. It's a lot of fabric but fun over a crinoline (as photographed). Sort of tedious to iron though!

It's a Heidi Grace for Joanne Fabrics print. I am always buying novelty cotton prints.

hmm, haven't heard of Heidi Grace. I'm a quilter and have bought several prints from quilt shops (eQuilter, Keepsake Quilting, Hancock's of Paducah) in '30s Depression and '40s reproduction prints. They make wonderful dresses, blouses, etc. and head scarves - a nice change from wearing the stand-by red bandana.

Made this from one of my repo patterns. Im not, and the dress is not as boxy as I appear. It was the slipping foundation garments that I was wearing. Mental note, I need to make my own cincher. Progress on the ole blog.

You look beautiful and radiant, LD, not boxy at all. That pattern is well suited for a long gown (making a note of it in case I ever go anywhere fancy!!)
