FS: Sears Oakbrook D-pocket Leather Jacket, sz. 38

Can you shed some light on the fit? A 23" chest and 19.5" shoulders would seem at least or larger than a 40 but you said it fits like a 38. What am I missing?

Wondering... were/are all flat caps supposed to be sewn at the front/bill or are some naturally like mine in the photo? This one is a vintage Carriglen made in England. Follow on question..anyone have a flat cap altered to make bigger? Seems like it wouldn't be difficult. thanks, glxie63
