    Show your Langlitz

L ' I purchased a timberline that was ordered by previous owner, extra long in torso. Took it to Langlitz to have cropped down 2”. They didn’t want to do? Took to local leather shop and had done. Didn’t cost too much and turned out well. Only thing that keeps me from saying turned out great was...

    Boot pocket

I like this idea. I saw a pocket on a Redwing work boot and liked the idea to carry a knife. So, I grabbed my vintage Chippewa engineer boots, I use for riding the Harley and added a Skinner Knife to the to the adjustable calf strap.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Bought this used off original owner. Was custom ordered long in torso as original owner was not a biker. Had a leather shop shorten torso length 1.5” and added two way main zipper. Langlitz added back pinstripes for trimer fit. My thoughts as of late: Langlitz medium weight leather is very...

Let's talk about wool coats, jackets, and vests

Here’s a rare one in my collection of Filson. I fit tried it on at The Filson outlet and have never taken out of box since. Too nice to wear? 24 oz, so it’s double that, 48 oz on backside because of back pocket.

    Who here is a millionaire?

The big chase was to get there. Now that I am. The chase is keeping safely in front of inflation.

That's it, I'm out. The ADS ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daily reading of the Lounge became a struggle, thought it was my I-pad? So, what to do? I questioned my 30 something yrs. old kids who said I should go and get the latest edition I-pad. So, I spend $1400. For one with all the gadgets. Now, I get my unwanted ads at a tolerable speed, such...

    In the Pressure Cooker!

When I was single, 40+ Years ago, my Grandmother gave me one of her small pressure cookers. When my wife took over the kitchen she declined to use it due to safety concerns. It now stays in the back corner of the corner lower cupboard and sees the light of day every couple of years during deep...

    Show your Langlitz

I've made it to Langlitz today. On the phone Bennie said he'd seen pretty much everything in custom mods. When I took this there he said this was a new one for him. Said it was a late 50's early 60's. Called it a Cascade with very high pockets. Looks like it was a lace up that was modified...

    Show your Langlitz

I thought this would be a good place to record my just purchased Langlitz jacket. Doesn't fit me but a piece textile art. Measures shoulders 19.5" pit to pit 20.5" waist 17" back length 25" arms 25.5" I'm 6'2" and fits in shoulders and arms but 2"-3" too tight to zip up. I don't think it was...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Picked this Langlitz up today. Too small for me but very interesting design. Kind of a Death's Head straight zip thing going on. Just too cool to pass on for the price.

You know you are getting old when:

When you can remember the small pox and rubella shot they gave you in elementary school. I have to point out when telling the story. It was one machine they used it on everyone. We all lined up and got the inoculation sharing the same dispensing device.

    Show us your motorcycles!

I love your choice in Indian motorcycles. I have a 1939 Scout. Pictures are back further in this thread. Left side throttle is very difficult thing. Along with that, right side spark advance throttle, left foot clutch, right foot brake, left hand front brake, right hand 3-speed shift. Gives...

    Recommendations for Riding Jeans

I'm not one to spend money to experimenting with clothing materials. I've stuck to double front Carharts. Wind doesn't flow through like my 501's. Being a fair weather rider, I stay away from rain and when the thermometer drops below 50F. I have a pair of heavy steer Langlitz with Bonneville...
