I had to laugh at this as there is the picture of the the Elkhorn i bought from them when i was in my Twenties i wore that hat for 15 years unit i replaced it with another Stagecoach in the mid eighties and still have it today.

I got a " meadowbrook" the other day then come to find out it's a Stetson with a new liner and the stetson stamp crossed out on the sweatband , nice surprise. I will post some pics when I get them uploaded.

I'm sorry it was not Dinerman's post it was another back from 2005 i found after a Google search "The orange tinted "cloth like" plastic is probably from the late 40s---after the war. That was their first try at getting plastics into hats. " with the clear plastic being in the fifties...
Nice Hat Rick, The oil cloth liner is from the late forties to early fifties there was a posing from Dinnerman but i cant find it right now. the kitten finish is really nice to the touch. i have a 3 string with the same liner also, shown on this thread a while back. I'm waiting for a mid ribbon...
