My auntie was busy again: she altered a dress for me that a friend's friend gave me and that might very well become my summer favorite. It's light as a feather, cotton top and rayon lining, with a pussy bow. Oh, and it has half long sleeves - I forgot to take a picture without the cardi.- wahine

Hooded dryer dried wet sets or sleeping in a wet set overnight; which
I've never tried a drying hood, but compared to regular blow drying and hot sticks, I get the best results with a pin curl wet set overnight. I got fine and straight hair, too, and this method is the best for me so far. All the setting lotions I've tried only result in the curl vanishing as soon... -

Nobert, thank you for your opinion. I didn't realize that silver indeed has a yellowish tone - I guess that's what makes the difference to stainless steel cutlery. It's probably a good idea to decide for each item individually how to clean it. I'm still thinking about what to do with those...- wahine

My dad gave me a bunch of old silverware, obviously in no good condition. This was a good chance to experiment a bit with silver cleaning methods. I got a liquid silver cleaner from my grandma's cupboard - probably very aggressive chemistry (the smell!). The alternative to that is good old...- wahine
