tried out the grace kelly tutorial by lisa freemont street today, used a curling iron so ill try again with a wet set to get a bit more structure. Obviously my hair is too short for this style but i like the way it turned out with the bob anyway :)

I really recommend it! that and Really Red which is a matte by Revlon - its a little brighter than the MAC and is good for summer or as a lighter daywear colour :) I am SO happy I figured out I needed an orange base - I think so many of us who think maybe red isn't for us just need to figure...
Just bought Chili by MAC which is one of their matte lipsticks, and the liner Auburn to go with it. I'm actually loving it, as I said in an earlier post most red lipsticks go pink on me so i really need an orange or brown undertone and this one is gorgeous. It's a dark, terracotta sort of red...
Unfortunately my hair has taken a bit of a battering over recent months as my job as a swimming instructor means that 4 days a week Im in chlorine for a few hours and then immediately need to shower. Thus, my hair receives the double mistreatment of chlorine and multiple washings. Ive tried as...
oh my gosh my Retro Folie just arrived and it's gorgeous! my camera died so the pictures above will have to make do but it's stunning in person! it feels heavy duty (I got it double boned) and like a warm hug :) time to start seasoning yay!

there are some goods shops on etsy that have vintage hats for sale ( try here or here and there's a sale on here) and some where you can even custom order so if you find a style you like in a film or such you can have it made (it is expensive though!) (here ).
Luckily there are some gorgeous...
i meant to say as well, today i went for a walk with a dog and it was windy and i thought "gosh my hair is annoying!" and then went, "hold on! my hair is long enough to be caught by the wind! woohoo!" haha it was quite exciting for me :)
I also wear glasses and I remember that stage being hideous! I luckily only wear mine for night driving, lectures and movies and I used to wear a bandana, a beret or an alice band so that I could put that effectively over the glasses arms to sort of hide it - it *kind of* worked.
i had to take pictures for a visa the other day and compare it to passport photos I got a few months ago and it actually really showed how much my hair had grown - the problem really is that while you're waiting for the top to grow out it feels like its not really growing at all and its SO...
Its a bit difficult to see but i would say that shes curled her hair and then sectioned a triangle portion to include her bangs and swept the rest into a rat similar to this tutorial . For the bangs it would be similar to this tutorial except placed lower on the forehead. You would take the...
have you received yours from her yet? and yes, Retro Folie are beautiful ! here's a preview she sent me of mine :) It's no extra cost for a custom print as well and she also did mine as a rush order at no extra cost! I can say only good things about her so far :)
Ohairas just be careful not to tie your laces in front of your corset as over time it can damage the fashion fabric and that would be sad :( I ordered a custom fabric underbust from Retro Folie and I should get it in about a week and I am SO excited! She gets fabric printed with any painting you...
my fiorella custom is getting finished this weekend and should get to me in a couple of weeks and i also couldnt help but order a custom pattern (but standard sized) underbust from Retro Folie as well :) she does amazing pattern matching and can print fabric and pattern matcch it for any...
so much pretty! oh my gosh, why oh why did you show me those shoes B.A.I.T. shoes?!? I've not stopped staring at their website since and I have exactly zero funds to fulfill my desires! I too would like to know if anyone has tried that as they seem like a much cheaper option compared to some...
yeah, it definitely is the worst stage! unfortunately my hair grows uber slowly so despite the fact I had mine shaved almost a year and a half ago I've only just got to the point where my hair is one length (although i did get it cut into a pixie cut around november last year so that set me back...
