    Hasidic Jewish hats

I'm 100% for real, yes. I'm also being tongue-in-cheek with the "Are you Jewish" question since I'm 100% Jewish...and obviously so. That long-haired hat is available through Belmonti Hatters. I'm also a fan of Primo's on Kingston Ave, although they go more for the black fedora.

    Hasidic Jewish hats

Wow. My little thread is still going! Who woulda thought! In the meantime, I get the "Are you Jewish" question even without a black fedora on...I wonder why...

Ask a question, get an answer

Hey, all, I know I'm not around much anymore. I recently had a brainwave--and maybe you've already thought of this--but I thought I would share. I was driving in Philly when I noticed a fur shop, and I asked if they clean men's fur felt hats. Not only do they clean 'em, they even have hat blocks...

You mean a pristine 7 1/4 Knox 100 like the one I own? You can find more pictures from when I bought it from Alan, I'm sure. I'm not sure I'm ready to part with this beauty yet!

Fedora sell off! How about a pre-war Borsalino? And more!

Have a look at these images, and you can see that it's just the way the bow has folded and creased over time.

Fedora sell off! How about a pre-war Borsalino? And more!

It's a ragged-edged bow--on purpose. There's a term for it that's escaping me here, but it was made to be rough along the edge like that. The bow is in fine shape otherwise. Best, A

Fedora sell off! How about a pre-war Borsalino? And more!

It's a tear, I'm afraid; when I picked up the hat a few years ago, I went to turn the sweatband out, gently, to see the labels underneath, and that's when the band tore. There's no other deterioration in the leather, though. Cheers, A

Hi all, I've been absent a while, and while the hat collection has grown and ebbed over the years, it's time to part with a few of my collected hats, ranging in sizes from a larger 7 1/8 up to some 7 1/2s. I'm linking two below, and you can view the rest via my eBay pages. Images are with the...

    Black Sheep Hat Works

I wanted to give a shout-out to Bob for some masterful refurb work. I picked up this 30s Stetson Feather Weight Nutria Quality Stetsonian some time ago, despite the fact that the unreeded sweatband desperately needed to be resown. I wore it nonetheless, until the day that the final thread gave...
