    Moreso than brown jackets, yes. Police jackets are black, dress boots are black. I mostly wear blue jeans or beige/tan chinos, and I'm not sure how well black boots would work. That's why I wondered how versatile they might be.

    I would suggest looking around until you find a jacket style you actively really like. Then see what manufacturers make jackets in that or a similar style. Then buy the one you like the most, at the price you're happy to pay. Otherwise it seems like your decision making is all backwards.

    I was in my black Helikon m65 today too, but no pictures. We're in the midst of another named piece of weather right now, so it's freezing and pouring with rain and blowing a literal gale. I remained warm and dry.
