I have a Stetson Temple in Mink color. I bought it over 30 years ago at the Stetson factory when it was in St. Joseph, Missouri. It is a very good quality fur; Sovereign is the Stetson designation for it.
It has been worn in the rain, snow, sleet and blazing sun. I brush it with a horsehair hat...
I agree. This site has never limited the discussion to A-2 stitching and leather and pattern.
I remember when MK started this place; it was always open to anyone that had something to say or a question to ask.
Personally, I have posted many times about my US Wings goat A-2 2000. I’m quite sure...
I got a US Wings A-2 2000 in goatskin about a year ago. For $195.00 it's a heck of a jacket. Not 100% WWII accurate but it's close enough for me, and it wears like iron. Still looks new after a year of heavy use.

Forrestal
Yes, I’ll post some pictures of the jacket.
It was 106 degrees here in St. Louis yesterday…….only 96 today…..so you can see the temperature is dropping fast…..I need my A2!!!

Saw this thread this morning and for $195.00 I had to pull the trigger.
A2-2000 dark brown goat skin.
Now the obvious next question is how quickly does US Wings process and ship their orders?
Anyone know?????

When in L.A. last month, I drove over to 8524 W. Sunset Blvd., where Dino’s Lodge was. This is where they filmed a lot of the exteriors for the series; there never was an address 77 Sunset Strip. In the sidewalk at that address you can see this…..

Here is my overnight bag. I found it in an antique store for $20.00.
It’s VERY heavy cowhide, and completely leather lined.
After several applications of Lexol the leather is virtually like new.
There are no manufacturer’s marks on it, so I’m guessing it was made in the 40’s or 50’s.
If...
Davestlouis,
I used to go to Boyd's on Forsythe in Clayton, to get my Weejuns.
I can remember paying $19.95 a pair.....but that was in 1966,
Too bad Boyd's is out of business.
There is a Bass outlet store in Sikeston, Missouri. They should have them; I can't speak to their quality though...
I hope my friend Bill Samuels at Makers Mark won’t get made at me and take my name off the plaque on Makers Mark barrel #796929 for saying this, but I really like Pappy Van Winkles Rye.
Pappy Van Winkles can be so hard to find that last time I had to go to the distillery to buy 2 bottles...
I have all 14 Rathbone/Bruce Sherlock Holmes films on my Ipod Touch. Although I can practically quote every line, I still continue to watch them over and over.

Here are some pictures of a Gladstone / Doctor’s Bag I bought in an antique store in Hermann, Missouri.
It is made of HEAVY cowhide. It measures 21” long x 12” high x 8” wide.
There is almost no cracking of the leather, it is fully leather lined, the locking hardware works and it even came...
I have narrow feet. Cole Haan must run narrow because they always fit me very well.
If you have a Dillard’s department store in you’re area they had Cole Haan’s on sale for $99.00.
That’s a good price.

Forrestal
