A quick review of the Bronson salt and pepper work shirt.
I’ve always been fond of work style shirts. So I took the plunge on the Bronson Salt and Pepper workshirt. Overall nice quality shirt for the price (it was 53$) on Ali express. The shirt feels like a thicker chambray shirt, I’m a size...

I ordered a large like I wear in the 5 button USGI wool sweater...
Anyone wear US NAVY “GOB” wool sweater? If so let’s see em! Not an item talked about often! I’ve seen that Eastman makes a nice one! The Bronson one looks okay , some of the knit work seems a little bit off compared to originals, but I haven’t handled many so I don’t have much knowledge in that...
I’m sure you’ve seen some crazy stuff! Thanks for your service, being a military history buff that’s one of the articles that inspired me to purchase a copy! Hah
I’ve been wearing a Seiko 5 Auto. It’s not an exact replica or an original but a close modern copy of the Seiko watch commonly used by MACV-SOG during the Vietnam war that I don’t worry about getting dirty. I upgraded the band to a Barton Tropical band. An inexpensive watch great for daily...
I Appreciate the response, Not that it’s an expensive coat for PB, but living in the states , I am a bit nervous about ordering the wrong size! I do like the looks of it and it’s within my budget. I sort of become a bit obsessive about it, I start measuring all my other jackets that fit create...
Thanks Mr.Proper for that information on the PB Jackets . I formerly had an ATF deck jacket that I grew out of , and I’d like to buy something a bit nicer in quality, seems like Bronsons pretty much sold out, and their customer service says they have no timeline on restocking. I’ve been hunting...
I’ve scoured through and still seem a bit confused on Pike Brothers sizing. I’m a 41” chest , ive measured a jacket I wear that fits comfortably and it’s 23.5” p2p. Which would put me at a medium in the Pike Bros Omaha jacket, but reading some reviews the lining is very thick which makes it a...
I’ll keep my 42 for layering when I can pretend I’m out in the North Atlantic here this winter and keep my eyes peeled for a 40r preferably a Kersey Wool
Thanks’ I was thinking about keeping my eyes peeled for a 40r for a trimmer look. I debated about getting this coat tailored a bit while wearing a sweater, but I don’t want to ruin the jacket, not many tailors near me that deal with heavy clothing like this.
I’m unfortunately and in betweener for sizing between a 40R and 42R , I sized up for a 42R So I can comfortable wear a sweater or cardigan underneath. This is my first “real” peacoat , previously I’ve only owned civilian knockoffs from departments stores. I know they’re supposed to fit boxy and...
Any recommendations on a proper thread to use for button repair? I have a 1950s era peacoat and I don’t want to use a cheap standard thin thread for repair
