    Yeah I'd like the hem knit to be 45cm at its "relaxed state" with enough leather to be able to stretch it out to a 50cm with the back pleats. The Schott has 10cm of stretch on it according to my measurements. I'll try to make that clearer. Thanks for the tips, I'll make sure to include all of them!

    Apparently they do use a hard rigid plastic material in the main band of the hat, at least on the maciejowka model 2 I was asking about. Shame, I really dislike the rigidness and would have loved a more flexible cap.

    That list does not specify what the actual "heart band" material is. I would like for it to be fully woolen so its not too stiff, I have another maciejowka from an independent polish hat maker but that one has a hard plasticy band, which I dislike.

    Problem with the chinese brands is the hefty tax + customs fees on items shipped from outside the EU, which make their cheaper price tag more in line with Pike Brothers. The Bronson is about 160€ before tax+fees and about 220€ after. But if anyone happens to have a Bronson already in the EU...
