Beautiful engraved guns and bladed weapons!
Fooling around in the office again when I am supposed to be cleaning and consolidating. WWI (more or less) with Webley 1909 auto and various accoutrements.
Dang, I hope it doesn't take that long!
I just keyed in on your signature - I was loaned out by my company to the Arizona Dept of Transportation for 2 years as an senior archaeologist reviewing project reports. Doing mainly Historical Archaeology now as an an on-call PI. I see the N. Greene...
Gentleman over in the Colt forum, who also hangs out here, reminded me that I haven't posted two of my newest acquisitions, a Winchester 1892 Trapper with a 15-inch barrel in 44-40 circa 1911 and a Smith and Wesson Double action Frontier, probably factory engraved (waiting on letter from S&W)...
Beginning of the 20th century sheriff accoutrements. Smith and Wesson double action .44 Frontier (44-40). Only 15340 produced, this one was made toward the end of production which occurred in 1913.
Thanks guys and you're going to get me in so much trouble.
Here is one from a while ago, again just fooling around. Guns and accoutrements that a forward thinking (and well off) deputy sheriff circa 1910 might use. Savage 1899H SRC in 32-40 (rare caliber for Savage) and a Colt 1900 pistol in...
I appreciate the nice comments! I got to stop doing this or the wife will have my blanks in a jar. I am supposed to be cleaning up my stuff not playing with all of it.
It is a pocket holster and it has the older Heiser mark on the front so it is old - I think pre 1925? Back is pretty boring...
Last one, American Railway Express Company (1917-1929-ish) scenario - Colt Police Positive was sent to them in 1923. Badge is the real deal for Special Officer. I am assuming these persons guard valuable cargo but that is just a WAG on my part. I haven't been able to find anything about that...
The Remington 14 1/2 carbines are quite rare. By far the rarest of the Model 14 family. I lucked into this one at a price that I could afford several years ago. Haven't seen one since. Some estimate less than a 1000 were produced in 38-40 and 44-40 calibers only. They are very slick to run...
Finally, a 4 1/2 inch Colt New Service in 38-40 with Stags (1923), Old Geo Lawrence belt (1910-1940s), Heiser tooled holster (1919-1955) with Remington model 14 1/2 pump carbine (1915) also in 38-40 and various accoutrements including pre-mid 1930s Stetson, pocket watch and fob, and old Tower...
Another one with props - 4-inch 1912 Colt Army Special with MOP grips in 32-20, 1919-55 Heiser belt for 32-20 rounds, no-name holster, Winchester 1907 .351 deluxe made in 1908 with a few factory 10-round mags, Remington Dogbone box from the 1930s, another old pocket watch from the 1920-30s...
Was "cleaning" again this weekend and couldn't help myself - 1930s Chicago police sergeant desk complete with old badge, Colt Police Positive made in 1923; Clark holster circa early 30s; Peerless handcuffs made July 1, 1924; 1897 Winchester with Peters #1 Buckshot from late 1920s; Stetson "The...
