For a shortcut go to Brooks Bros. Their autumn/winter offering includes a couple of good looking, muted authentic fair isles of which Jeeves would wholeheartledly approve. Definitely not Mr Freddie "he's a riot" Flowerdew stying. They cost about $90 as I recall- Brummagem Joe

....I just took a look at the pics of Charles so kindly provided above and he's wearing a striped tie in all except one where he's wearing a pale blue ground with a white spot......the tie he's wearing when he's walking with Camilla looks like the Royal Navy tie- Brummagem Joe

......Charles usually wears patterned ties........generally he seems to prefer stripes and these are often regimental or service ties.....I don't recognize this one but it looks like it's made of poplin.....the suit looks as if it's a cotton/wool mix gaberdine- Brummagem Joe
