Skyvue, Now that is a ROAD TRIP!!! 22k and 4 months!!
By chance did you do a ride report on your excursion?
By the time I got to Rte 66 in Missouri I had been gone about 6 weeks and was starting to get a case of gethomeitis. Which unfortunately caused me to miss / skip some of the...
I didn't stay at the Boots as it was too early in the day. Ate lunch next door at the Pancake Hut. Recommend it for coffee only! The "Chicago Band Box" was really neat to see.
The Wagon Wheel was disappointing. Room was very clean and redone not that long ago. I picked a single bed room...
Some places from my trip last October. Found its better to take pictures and not stay, they are really old motels!!!
I like the neon signs, they show some imagination.
Over 4 million dollars!!!!!

Gumbo! Chicken thighs and Andouille sausage. Medium dark roux.
Experiment, added cup of rice to mix while perking on the stove. Came out a bit gooey! But, tasted damn fine and went down easy! Will do the rice on the side next time though.
At some antique stores today, noticed lots of quilts and wool blankets. Prices seemed quite low from a few years ago. Might be worth doing some browsing.
I really enjoy pursuing photo threads like this one. Such great pic's and an inspiration for me to take many more myself.
I also enjoyed this one ( http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202214 ) as it gave me perspective on perspective!
I travel a lot on my motorcycle and you diffidently can't drink and ride a bike. But once landed in a camp ground or motel it's nice to kick back and think about the day with a nice one. So last nite I had some Wild Turkey 101 over ice. I pick the Turkey as it can be had in a plastic "traveler"...
Called dealer about lamp in Tombstone, they accepted my offer. So picked it up today. Was able to verify the bridge is brass. The shade is cheap plastic stained glass and to the Goodwill it will go. If unable to find a nice one before too long, will go to antiquelampco and order up the mica...
Agree with Mike in Seattle.
The cord, plug and socket should be changed out. With repo's of cloth cords and plugs easily available it not only makes the lamp safe, but it will now last many many more years.
Did find one in Tombstone of all places! Very nice onyx stone accents of good size. Shade was homemade stained glass and didn't look good at all with style of lamp. But, was way over priced. Kinda thinking of making offer if they remove the shade, couldn't when I was there as I was riding my...
Made visit to the Pima Air Museum, WOW!!! If into planes at all a must visit. And the Bone Yard is a plus.
Story of a P51 pilot is totally amazing. Given credit and a medal for shooting down an American plane! Only one of three pilots to get kills on German, Italian and Japanese planes.
I really like the mica shades. Thanks for URL posting. They sure don't give em away though! Now when I'm out and about I'll keep my eyes open for them.
