Great jacket, lovely read of the history ! :eusa_clap
Andrew, how long did he quote you for the jacket?? They sure do look good ! I am tempted on his RW but would surely like to get a Crown Zipper on it ! I'll keep an eye out for your new jacket on the boards ! Cheers !
Shame my kids didn't go to your school Andrew ! They would love you !! Fortunately on their mufti day, they would wear their little people Aero A-2's with bomb tags and Capri bells and little AAF t-shirts.
Hey, nice collection of jackets I must say ! You going to Duxford all dressed up or in...
Thanks for putting this up Hondo. I have always wondered what active roles the Chinese American played in WWII. I was at the American Air Museum at Duxford, UK and spent time reading the names honoured and was surprised at the Chinese names that were listed. I have previously searched the net to...
Very sharp indeed! For eighty bucks you can't go wrong! Nice suit! I like your style!! Kinda reminds me of my family old pics when my Grandfather was in Shanghai in the 20's armed with a Mauser broomhandle pistol and a big cigar!:)
Aero's cut and fit is slim! I'd say give them your measurements and they will do the rest ! I'm a 42" spot on and have a several A-2 jackets from them and in a way wished I got the next size up ! (Gut relief!) Good luck !!
My son has the Choc Steerhide A-2 jacket and I must say that it is a nice jacket. As it is made for a size 14 yo, it feels heavy but it's rather grainy.
Like Ferdoralover says, for another £100 more you can get the 'Real Deal' which is a fab jacket.
Also check out Aero's sale section, you...
Hi Mike,
Thanks for posting the news. Is it my understanding that the Liberty Belle whilst over in the UK will be offering flights for a donation as per in the US?
I'd be willing to help out at Duxford armed with my camera to film her landing.
Cheers,
Roy
Nice pics Steve ! Good job you didn't take an A-2 with you. I was out there last year in October and wore my Aero Bronco out, every opportunity I stopped by the tourist places to have a break, a Japanese youngster would come and have a chat about the A-2, it only happened twice in 3 days though...
I would take the money and run ! A-2B, I have never heard of that before! You get what you pay for I guess, I'd save up a bit, and get one from your side of the turf or at a push, go for an Aero via Mark Moye, you won't be sorry. Good anyway !
