I wear hats all the time: fedoras, newsboy or my new Bushman. Each morning I board the metro into downtown Washington DC joined by many other hatwearers. Lots of fedoras and broadbrim hats I might add. I've never heard a negative comment and I wouldn't care if I did. Life is too short to worry... -

Worst insult

The Black Dahlia
I saw it last night and was really disappointed. The actual Black Dahlia murder story is sort of pushed off to the margins of a really convoluted storyline. It reminded me of Titanic and Johnny Depp's Jack the Ripper movie where the much more compelling reality is buried beneath a badly...- penfencer

Best time machine movie
The best time travel film hasn't been made yet. Jack Finney's Time and Again is my all time favorite time travel novel. It was never made into a film. The story takes place in turn-of-the-century New York City. It would make a great movie.- penfencer

Favorite post-2000 bands?
Look for "Gnarles Barkley" and the song "Crazy." It's a big hit in England and on the internet. The album will be released in the U.S. on May 4. Nice retro R and B sound. I haven't been excited by new music in years but this is a great tune.- penfencer

Celebrities and heroes.
Clark Gable flew in some dangerous missions in B-17s over Europe. He made a terrific documentary film about air gunnery (the name escapes me at the moment.) I've always admired him for that. -
