What my grandmother told me about life in the 1940s.

Grandma told me it was unheard of a girl to ask out a man. It was the boys job to do all the asking, girls didn't even call boys on the phone. I actually instigated this policy when I was having bad luck with finding a decent man. With my husband I told him when he asked for my number, "Here is...

What my grandmother told me about life in the 1940s.

My grandma told me some stories about the war. One was about my grandfather. He was stationed in Florida somewhere and his job was something to do with communication and radars. She said that there were German subs routinely spotted off the to coast but nothing was ever said because they didn't...

As a gal who has many of hair disasters, I will advise if you are going more than a couple shades different get thee to a salon. I do my own almost platinum, but it has been a lot of trail and error and orange hair. LOL. I'm only going from dishwater blond to platinum too, so its an easier switch.

    Sewing Lessons & FAQ

Ok first this tutorial is wrong, the difference in sizes is 1/4 inch, not 2 inches. When grading with the slash method, you want to make many smaller slashes not three huge ones. Those huge cuts are a sure fire way to get an ill fitting pattern. She also did not adjust the length of the garment...

    Sewing Lessons & FAQ

You could release the seam allowances if there are any. I wouldn' t add to the sides as it would risky looking really off and it really won't help the bust much. There is honestly not much you can do to make it fit if there is no seam allowances to release.
