I was able to get 4 pieces, we are going to redo our kitchen in an olive greenish color. I also picked up some other plates that are different pattern but similar coloring. I will try to get pics of them and post them as well....found them all at Goodwill.

    any other "unworthy" lurkers?

I would love to be able to dress and decorate in a total vintage style but dont have the time or money to get it done....I like the whole rock-a-billy and 40-50 dress style. I have several old books and love the whole rat pack era. I think its more a since of inter-being that makes me more...

    US Route 20

I know that US 40 has lots to offer. I live about 10 miles from it and I will take it to most places I want to go.... I'm not a big interstate driver...I would rather take a little longer and see the sights and not deal with all the crazy drivers out on the interstate. There are many...

Stepping back in time in Indiana!

I have recently taken a couple day trips here in Indiana and have found myself feeling as if I had stepped back in time. I love the little excursions where you find places where you feel as if never changed through the years. The first one was to a part of Indianapolis in which is known as...

    How to be well groomed.

I'm glad that everyone enjoyed the post. I love watching the educational video's from the 50's and 60's. There is so much taht Mr. Obvious could teach us that we dont think about from day to day...and the sad part is they aren't being passed on to the kiddo's.

Your welcome love the archives site. And I also notice the stubby hands comment. If that was in a film today it would bring out the stubby handed people in force and they would be sued....lol lol lol

What are your plans for the 4th?

That is great it looks like a perfect example of small town America, we need more of this. I love the way that people can come together and still enjoy themselves.

    How to be well groomed.

Here is a great example of How to be well groomed. I love the simple easy speaking of the orators and how it comes across. I think there should be more of this in our schools today. Hope you enjoy and who knows, you might pick up a new tipper. http://www.archive.org/details/HowtoBeW1949
