Drat! Did some research on MAC lip products, and everything contains either Tocopherol or Tocopheryl Acetate (different spellings, I know, but I'm lazy and not typing everything twice lol ), which is basically vitamin E from wheat/gluten - based sources.
Sorry, dmoran, will eventually get...
Interesting question, Sylvanrealm...never heard of it myself (well, that's a lie, it's ringing some faint bells in the brain cells), but now I'm all curious... lol
Wow, zombi, liking the pics (same with Tifa & RainEdayWoman). Besame is looking more and more tempting...must remember to e-mail and ask if the lippies are gluten-free...
Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories and photos! :)
Yay, Chanel No. 5! And I got really lucky and purchased an old bottle of "Evening in Paris" (that great perfume from the now defunct Woolworth's :( ) that still has some of the perfume in it! I'd never wear it, but I admit to very occasionally taking a wee sniff to bring back...
Hmmm...is the NYC Retro Red a blue-red, or an orange-red? I too really look forward to hearing about the Besame lippies...been curious for a long time... :)
Wow, been a while...so much to catch up on here! lol I said I'd post on how those Revlon "Just Bitten" stains were...and they're pretty darned good :) The darker one "Gothic" is a little dark (but great for Winter, I guess), but it is a really nice red, not too much blue so it doesn't go...
Not sure if I should be relieved or not, Bruce Wayne :) lol Smashing good series, however. I'm usually 1 episode behind as I can't stay up that late on a Sunday night, so I wait for the repeat show Friday night...
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintinence - it takes a couple of readings to understand it all (so sue me for not being too inclined to all that there book learnin') ;)
Hooray, found a neat lipstain - "Just Bitten" in Gothic (dang, was that Maybelline?? Can't remember the brand, silly git - next day edit: the brand is Revlon), a dark red. Its a smidge too blue for me, but this stuff stays on until I practically sand it off (Ponds cold cream with corn meal)...
Handling as much paper as I do on a daily basis can suck what little moisture I have right out, so wearing gloves after applying moisturiser is a must for me during the winter nights...I use a simple pair of cheap cotton gloves and pure, unrefined shea butter (not the nicest smelling stuff in...
I agree, very fun thread :)
Typical "Hello" (said with the inquizzical uplift at the end) at the start, always some form of Goodbye at the end - more often than not nowadays it's actually "bye-bye" - this comes from the high population of Chinese people that I work with/for and converse with...
Fantastic! Even though I'm relatively new here, I was trying to keep my eyes open for you as well - I know how bad you wanted this one! Wear it with pride, Foofoogal! lol
Wow, for some reason Toronto (Ontario, Canada) just seems to keep missing the worst of it - perhaps its all the hot air here? lol My condolences go out to you that are almost buried under the stuff...I keep hearing about the cold and snow over the pond, and worry about you folks!
