I bought this jacket about 5 years ago from Aero Scotland (on their sales page) and it's believed to be a Poughkeepsie. I'm afraid i'm no expert on A2's however, there are plenty around here so maybe someone could confirm this.
As the original lining was missing it has a replacement Aero...
Up for sale are a lovely pair of William Lennon boots. Worn but in great condition with many miles left in them. I've had rubber soles attached to the original leather soles for a bit of added grip and wear (of course, these can be replaced by you cobbler).
Blurb from their site reads...
Anyone else come across this on the 'bay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VTG-Mens-WW2-A2-Horsehide-Leather-Flight-Jacket-Named-MARKET-GARDEN-OVERLORD...
It's got all the bells & whistles; patches, field modded collar, etc. and the patina is just incredible. Too good to be genuine? Hefty price tag...
The lure of the open road... whether its hitching across state lines or motorcycling through the Andes, what are your favourite Period Road Trip movies? I'm a big fan of On the Road so i'm intrigued by the film adaptation, although early reviews suggest its not a patch on the book (how could it...

I've decided to sell on this fantastic old Aero Highwayman as it's just not getting enough of my attention. Why? Well, i've got several other Aero jackets (yes, i'm one of those crazy 'Aerophiles') which still need lots of breaking in plus I think it's about an inch too short in the sleeves if...
Forgive me if this has already been posted - i'm not a regular on the WWII forum.
While Twittering and Tweeting away I came across @RealTimeWWII
There is a chap called Alwyn Collinson who is attempting to tweet 'live' the events of the war years. The first tweet was Aug 31st (the day...
Last week I won an 'bay auction for this well worn Aero Highwayman. This jacket looks like its seen some action! - just look at the wear pattern down the sleeves. The leather is very thick steerhide but not at all stiff, I guess testament to the fact that those tough years spent breaking-in...
Arrived on Friday, my new modified Aero Stuart. Excuse my average photography - and dodgy carpet.
It's taken 14 weeks from putting the order in and, as usual, Amanda has been amazingly helpful.
Details - vintage brown FQHH, tan cotton drill lining, one inside pocket in the facing, 2 inch...
