    Magnoli Clothiers Thoughts and Opinions???

    I think their suits are a bit overpriced. I have heard good things though. My only experience comes from a few years ago where I bought some shoes. The shoes were pretty good, although the soles wore out quicker than any other dress shoe I have ever owned.

    Have you tried them on? It's possible a size 13 might work for you. Did you call Alden directly, or did you call one of the places that sell Alden shoes?     Fountain pens - ostentatious?

    I don't find them ostentatious at all. A fountain pen, by nature, is just a pen. However, as with most things, there are varying degrees of quality and construction. That being said, a good fountain pen and a good piece of paper provides a very visceral experience.

    Reproduction classic workwear

    I find selvedge denim to be superior to run-of-the-mill denim. Maybe it's the heavier weight, or just the rich indigo color most selvedge denim has, either way I prefer it. The idea that it ages with you is also good.

    Definitely loving the costume work. They've done a good job of displaying richer fabrics on Chalky and Nucky, and keeping the lesser fabrics with Jimmy and some of the other male characters. Nice storyline developing as well.
