Men Wearting Hats to the Dinner Table

My latest blog addresses the appalling lack of manners permeating our society: This is not the place for shameless self promotion of your blog. It was deleted once, but you didn't get the message. It appears that it wasn't very well-received by the patrons here. Do a little soul searching...

Have you flown in a vintage aeroplane?

I've twice flown in a B-17 and once in a B-24. http://www.thelovablerogue.com/page6.html. I have a greater appreciation for the courage required to fly in combat after having flown in those planes.

A man of letters in the digital age

That is truly a wonderful and noble project. What a tragedy if all of that first-hand history was lost.

A man of letters in the digital age

My latest blog entry continues to explore the impact of technology on ladies and gentleman, particularly what it means to be a man (or woman) of letters in the age of email and text messages. http://www.thelovablerogue.com/page3.html Fans of hand-written, paper letters stand up and be...

The Death of the Hotel Message

I just wrote a blog lamenting the death of the hotel message: http://www.thelovablerogue.com/page3.html I'm going to miss them. How about you?

Have you flown in a vintage aeroplane?

I've flown in both the Collings B-24 and B-17 (twice). What an incredible experience. You really begin to understand the courage it took to fly combat missions day-after-day.

I updated "The Lovable Rogue" website (www.thelovablerogue.com) and added a blog about the challenges of being a gentleman (and lady) in the Digital Age, something my fictional character constantly faces. Cheers!

Red Wing Gentleman's Traveler Different from Wolverine 1000-Mile Boot?

Red Wing will resole their shoes. Just take them to a Red Wing shoe store. They seem to stand behind their product. I'm not sure if you can send Wolverine's back to the factory for a resole or repair. I think the Red Wing Beckmans and the Wolverine 1000 mile boots are both excellent products...

Red Wing Gentleman's Traveler Different from Wolverine 1000-Mile Boot?

My Red Wing GT's are breaking in nicely. It's taken several weeks but I can feel the difference. They still have a bit to go but I can tell they are going to be very comfortable.

Red Wing Gentleman's Traveler Different from Wolverine 1000-Mile Boot?

Nice boots. I haven't worn my Wolverine 1000 mile boots very often yet as I'm breaking in my Red Wing GT's which are coming along nicely.

Red Wing Gentleman's Traveler Different from Wolverine 1000-Mile Boot?

My Wolverine's are 8D and my Red Wing's are 7 1/2 D. I normally wear 8 1/2 or 9. I was surprised I needed to drop down to 7 1/2 on my Red Wings however the 8's were just too loose.
