I've been using ""Layrite Deluxe" (and occasionally Brylcreem) for the past two weeks, I finally got tired of tearing out my own hair, forehead acne, and mucky-combs from "Murray's."
However, the shine seems to only last for 20 minutes... I guess you have to sacrifice shine for ease-of-washing.
I disagree. The right amount of IMPERFECTION is the best for any ensemble; and, the cutaway (although I prefer a club or spread) looks great with many outfits. The four in hand knot is the optimal knot for any situation.
Do you ever tie the most perfect knot ever so you loosen up the neck, take the tie off, and leave it tied? I have a tie or two left tied because of the pristine four in hands tied on... I was wondering if this is not a good habit to get into?
(I always untie my vintages to preserve 'em) :P
Four in Hand for every collar!
Works great with spread, cutaway, club, tab, and point!!! Try it out, the smaller size and asymmetry gives it a bit of character instead of having a gargantuan-triangle at the top of your tie.
