Looking at old photos, it seems that many if not most men wore their hat (fedora or western) at a jaunty angle, in some cases what appears to be a rather extreme one. What type of glue to attach a tip liner on a Milan?
What type of glue should I use to reattach the little round Stetson tip liner to the inside crown of a vintage Milan straw hat? I'll of course be careful to just use a drop or two to tack it in place; don't want to damage or discolor the natural straw!- Lawrence Ullman

Just got this from an eBay auction, but dang it, it's too big for me! Going to stick with 7-1/4 from now on . . . Hat is a nice-quality panama of uncertain vintage. Removing Brand Pins, Labels, etc...
I feel your pain! First thing I do when I get a new (vintage) hat is carefully remove any brand pin. (Must have a half-dozen Dobbs pins by now.) Feathers also come off. So far, any remaining pin holes are all but invisible. Those hideous sewn-in brand labels that new hats seem to be sporting are...- Lawrence Ullman
